Dear Robert, I'm hoping that our telephone call was useful. It is now perilously close to election day and I am rather busy. I wish to stress that, if elected in Abbey Ward, I would certainly be looking into the problems along Riverside and on into Stour Bridge Common especially at the areas of potential conflict between residents, boat-dwellers, rowers and visitors. Among these I list; the fact that problems may be 'lost' between the differing levels of authority-e.g. the Conservators of the Cam and the City Council; the City and the County etc. Reported noise nuisance for rowers being coxed early in the morning. Large motor boat on a small river. The need for regularisation of moorings etc. Rowing is a 'Green' Sport in itself...but unfortunately not if it generates motorised traffic. For this reason (and environmental damage) I am not happy about the 'Rowing Mile' . Sorry for this brief message. Best wishes, Margaret Wright Green Party Abbey Ward
