Thank you for the copy of your pdf letter sent to county councillors and forwarded to me. We certainly do not want to reach the point where it is possible to walk to Ely on moored boats.

I am pleased to say that three of our candidates are active rowers (Andrew Bower for Abbey, Tim Haire for Market ,and Chris Howell for Coleridge) and take a personal interest in this subject.

If elected, Conservative councillors will make sure that all users of public amenities are kept informed and included the decision-making. We will end the isolationist approach of the ruling group and work with the county council more effectively than before.

More specifically, we will also press for a better effective scrutiny system for council decisions and will review the history of this subject, the legal position and make recommendations based on the information.
