Thank You!

The official consultation period is now over and we had an amazing amount of support from Cambridge residents. More than 77% of people responding to the consultation through the consultation questionnaire or by email stated that mooring should be kept on Riverside, and 84% of people responding stated that the existing fair fee structure should be maintained. The Council are still yet to make formal decisions but the consultation results are clear: Cambridge loves the boats!

We hope The Camboaters River Review Public meeting on Saturday 14th January helped you to understand the circunstantes in which the CCC intends to increase the mooring fees and slash 1/3 of our boat community
Still time to fill in the consultation if you haven't already -

How can I Support the Boating Community in Cambridge?

The boating community in Cambridge is under threat from the City Council who are consulting on a plan to remove a third of the moorings and double fees for everyone else. Camboaters community association opposes these plans as they would decimate our community and force many off the river and potentially into homelessness. So, how can you help?
  • First and most importantly, go to our website and fill in the Council's consultation at Here you'll find our side of the story and guidance on how to fill in the consultation in our favour.

  • Please complete the consultation by Jan 20th and share the link on social media

  • If you have a public facing window in Cambridge, please print and display our campaign logo to show your support (see left side bar of the website)
Thank you!
